Bill Garfield has been involved in the game of hockey for nearly 40 years both as a player and coach. He started out with the Southern Stars and played there until joining Notre Dame of Fairfield. While at ND, the Lancers won the 1989 State Championship. After graduating he attended Roger Williams College (DIII) and played one season there. Bill completed his playing career at Southern CT State University and competed in two ACHA National Tournaments. The past four seasons, Bill has been involved with the Southern Stars as both a Board member and assistant coach. He is currently USA Hockey Level 3 coach and also returned to Notre Dame of Fairfield as an assistant coach for the Lancers. Bill is married with three kids, Teagan (currently on Squirt A team), Molly and Liam (currently in the Roadrunners program).
